Hi all,

Just wanted to drop by and say hi to everyone. Sorry I couldn't make it to the Chicago thing. I had my retirement ceremony comming up and already had spent some dough on flying in my folks and getting my daughter over here.

So anyhow, in case anyone was wondering (or even cares lol), I finished 26 yrs. with the Air Force, my ceremony was June 2nd. I'm on terminal leave until the 1st of Sep. I've been enjoying a break, but now I'm hitting the jobhunt pretty hard. Actually may of landed one at Fort. Mommouth, a bit north of here (closer to NYC). I have an ex-boss, current friend, that works for a military defense contractor and he says they are expanding and looking for a couple RF Engineers. I wouldn't be doing any teaching, but it pays well and is easy from what I gather. They told me last Friday that they want to bring me in for an interview, so I'm just waiting on a date to be setup. Crossing my fingers!

As far as gaming, I have slipped back over to the darkside and am enjoying Age of Conan. I play on a FFA PvP server (Cimmeria RP-PvP). If anyone wants to contact me, I'm still in NJ and have the same cell and email.

 I got the job up at Fort Monmouth! I went into the interview expecting to discuss the RF engineer stuff, but they picked out a few systems i had experience with and now I'm going to be a systems intergrator with STI (Sensor Technologies Inc). My job will be working on Army Watercraft Systems...who the hell knew the Army had boats!....specifically, the communications and navigations systems. I start on the Aug. 4th and actually may be travelling to a conference being held in Warren, Michigan (near BG?) the same day for 4-5 days.

 I'm heading up there to drop off the offer sheet and do some Apt/condo hunting tomorrow. I plan on moving before or at the end of this month. Looks like I'll be moving a bit closer to Big Target. Get the grill fired up old man!

Thanks for the assist offer Sloppy. I wanted to wait on this job as it sounds fun and pays very well.

Norton's throwing a major BBQ in August.  The grill is olways on.  Oh, BTW, the Army does have boats.  They went up the rivers in Viet Nam  in boats not rubber tubes. lol
