I volunteered to help rebuild New Orleans and the surrounding areas. I was a guest at camp restore (www.camprestore.org). It was quite an eye opening experience. I have returned home, and I am currently planning my next journey.
If YOU are interested in helping out with the effort, please let me know. If you are SKILLED...they need you BADLY. Don't let the fact that these people are organized by the Lutheran church scare you. This is NOT a religious mission...this is a humanitarian effort!
