BF 2142 Lockup

Hey All- Last night my computer installed some automatic updates (Windows XP) and restarted. This morning, I am unable to load a map in 2142. It begins to load and somewhere near 50% it just locks my whole system. I have since uninstalled 2142 and will re-install it later to see if this solves the problem...
